Job Description

The Korea Marketing Coordinator will be assisting with posting social content, organizing calendars, creating visual assets, helping to manage in-person events, and assisting with digital ad campaign management, all for the Korean region for thatgamecompany’s hit adventure game, Sky: Children of the Light.

 

The role will allow for tremendous learning opportunities in the game publishing and marketing fields. Dedicated and organized individuals who wish to learn many different areas of regional marketing will excel in this role. This person will get video game industry exposure in multiple marketing verticals and get hands-on experience managing social media channels, digital ad campaigns, and content creation. This position will report to the Korea Marketing Manager.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Update and maintain the social post calendar for our game’s social media content

  • Help manage the process of implementing new creative assets on social media and advertising channels

  • Help brainstorm ideas for online content creation

  • Manage team and individual calendars, including meeting invites and deadlines

  • Communicate in a cross-functional manner with other teams, such as Social, Community, and Growth

  • Update data reports from our online advertising campaigns

  • Provide updates to influencer partners and ensure influencer content delivery

  • Manage and update documents, slides, and projects for up-to-date information

  • Help manage online advertising campaigns on major advertising platforms

  • Post content on social media and moderate community comments

  • Help manage and operate online and offline events

  • Localize ad and social copy between English and Korean

Qualifications

  • Education level: High School or above

  • Language: MUST be able to speak and write English and Korean

  • Experience: 1-2 years in digital marketing, project management, localization, executive assistance, or creative production

  • Specific skills: Copywriting, copyediting, translation, project management, reporting, social media, live operations, community management

  • Personal characteristics: Organized, communicative, assumes responsibility, has attention to detail, learns quickly, has a positive attitude, willing to help wherever needed, looking for personal growth

  • Tools: Experience with JIRA (or other project management software), Slack, Google Docs/Sheets/Slides, Facebook, Naver

 

Nice-to-haves

  • Has experience with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator

  • Is familiar with Google Ads or Meta Ads

  • Understands Naver and Kakao platforms

  • Has experience managing game communities

  • Has worked in the video game industry

  • Has helped plan and manage convention booths or in-person events

  • Has worked with content creators or influencers

The salary range for this position is $55k to $65k+ USD annually, with the opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices in the USA.

Please note: This role is open to applicants based in the United States or South Korea. If the applicant is hired from South Korea, the applicant will fulfill the role as a contractor and they will be responsible for income tax payment in that country. If the applicant is US based, they will be hired as an employee.
