Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and day-to-day support to cross-functional groups responsible for auditor, regulator, and third-party relationships.

• Monitor organizational processes, and internal controls and perform analysis to measure program effectiveness and compliance; complete appropriate documentation.

• Support legal approvals associates as needed, including reviewing marketing and advertising materials for content clearance, messaging, and disclosures, and preparing contest and other promotion rules.

• Conduct legal research or projects and provide practical advice as needed.

• Support the ongoing development of internal policies and guidance for privacy and data governance practices;

• Coordinate with outside counsel as necessary

Qualifications:

• Practicing attorney with 5+ years of experience in the areas of intellectual property law and/or entertainment law, including 3+ years of in-house legal department work experience. 

• Experience working in a foreign corporate culture is required.

• Experience working at or with a major video game publisher or media company is a plus.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently on diverse matters, successfully lead cross-functional projects, and be comfortable finding creative and practical solutions;

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, impeccable integrity, good judgment, strong analytical skills;

• Comfortable in an international  work environment and ability to manage a diverse and complex workload;

• Certified lawyer to practice in China.
