Job Description


  • Develop strategy to drive Steam Wishlists for our game, which ultimately lead to unit sales at launch

  • Own the execution on all marketing channels including Influencer, Social Media, Community, Steam Page Optimization, Website Optimization, Email Marketing, Trailers, and Paid Advertising

  • Research, evaluate, and use tools to assist in scaling our marketing efforts 

  • Engage with, nurture, and grow our community across platforms (Discord, Reddit, Twitter, Twitch, Email etc.)

  • Determine a roadmap of announcements, content, and reveals that will drive Wishlists and keep the community engaged

  • Rigorously test content messaging and creative formats to discover what resonates the most with our audience.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the market and target audience to inform strategy, content, and messaging


  • 5+ years in PC game marketing 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Technology related field, or equivalent experience

  • Have worked on Go-To-Market for multiple PC gaming titles 

  • Experience working on numerous marketing channels including Influencer, Social Media, Community, Steam Page Optimization, Website Optimization, Email Marketing, Trailers, and Paid Advertising

  • A resourceful and proactive mindset; able to work in an ambiguous environment, and take ownership of projects

  • Extremely organized, methodical, and structured in execution 

  • Strong communication skills with a positive attitude 

  • Analytical and comfortable working with data

  • Able to provide/receive feedback well, and collaborate with peers

  • Mastery in written and spoken English

  • Live in a time zone within 4 hours of Pacific Time for team coordination

  • Avid gamer

Nice to Have

  • Moderate to hardcore Survival Crafting games player (e.g. Valheim, Corekeeper, V Rising, Subnautica, Return to Moria, The Forest, Terraria, Rust, Raft, Conan Exiles etc.)

  • Based in San Francisco Bay Area and will come into the San Mateo office at least once a week 

  • Familiarity with marketing for console and mobile

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $90,000-$120,000 per year, actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.

About Roboto Games

Hi! We’re Roboto Games, a minty fresh venture-backed games company. Before this we were leading games at PopCap, EA and Space Ape. And this isn’t our first rodeo/game studio. In 2007 we founded ZipZapPlay, a web and Facebook gaming company (we baked lots of cupcakes while making Baking Life), which we sold to PopCap (zombies also eat cupcakes it turns out) before they sold to EA in 2011. Since then we’ve also contributed to several mobile game hits. On average, we have 12 years of experience designing games with over $100m in revenue and over 65m players.
