Who We're Looking For

We are seeking a full-time Principal Netcode Engineer for current and future games at our growing remote studio!

Deep, practical expertise in architecting, writing, and optimizing networking code for real-time games is a must for this role, as your work will be at the heart of the game’s most important systems. Help us push the frontiers of tactile, responsive multiplayer interactions.

We seek collaborative individuals that are excited to contribute innovative and original ideas across all aspects of the game's design & production, working together as a team.

Responsibilities

• Using C# and the Unity engine, collaboratively design and implement real-time multiplayer networking code that will support ongoing development of our game for years after launch.

• Mentor other programmers and advocate for engineering excellence.

• Work closely with design, art, QA and other disciplines, providing your technical expertise to inform their decisions and incorporating their needs into your work.

• Ability to creatively overcome complex synchronization challenges with innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• One or more shipped real-time networked titles.

• Experience with rollback networking.

• Ability and drive to contribute innovative and original ideas across all aspects of the game's design & production.

• Excited and able to work with an agile and flexible team and participate in major decisions.

• Highly fluent knowledge of C# and Unity3D.

• Experience across multiple projects of delivering performant, readable, and reliable networking code at all phases of the software development lifecycle.

• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

• Readiness to lead with integrity, honesty, and accountability, taking ownership of your actions and decisions.

• Capable of working independently, keeping on-task and motivated in a fully-remote workplace.

• Located in PT, MT, CT, ET time zone, or willing to relocate.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with functional and/or data-oriented programming techniques.

• Experience with developing and deploying data-intensive web APIs.
